CAN I UPGRADE A POLICY ONCE ISSUED?

Yes, this is possible subject to no claims pending. If for instance, you have an Annual policy for 31 days per trip and you wish to upgrade to 62 days per trip, you would be asked to pay the price difference plus a service charge. Call us on 0871 230 6406.

WHAT DOES 'HOME COUNTRY' MEAN AS A DESTINATION?

If you select 'Your Home Country' as your destination it means that your travel insurance policy will be priced for travel within your country of residence.

ARE SPORTING AND HAZARDOUS ACTIVITIES COVERED?

All our policies cover some hazardous activities such as water skiing and scuba diving. See individual policies for a full list.

WHAT IS AN EXCESS?

This is the amount that the insurer will deduct from your claim payment under specific sections of the terms of the insurance policy at the time of finalising an agreed claim. See the cover details for your chosen policy for details. An excess waiver that removes all excess charges is offered on some policies for a small extra fee.

HOW DO I MAKE A CLAIM?

Just read the policy document to find the details of the claims office and phone number. Proof of loss and purchase/ownership of lost items will be needed to progress your claim. Medical emergencies can be handled by contacting the relevant service at the time of a medical emergency at which time often payment will be made direct to the medical services.

ARE PRE-EXISTING MEDICAL CONDITIONS COVERED?

The Insure-All travel policies include cover for MANY pre-existing medical conditions.

The Economy, Standard and Premier policies do not cover any pre-existing medical conditions.

HOW DOES AGE GOVERN PRICES AND COVER?

MRL obtains rates and cover details from leading underwriters who look at past annual industry wide statistics to see from where the claims have come. In general, the older the age group, the higher the claims paid out so prices and excess levels reflect this performance.
