Whether you’re 18 or 79 a Nile Cruise could be just the holiday for you. Floating down the Egyptian waterway is widely viewed as the way to see the Land of the Pharaohs and can be achieved on a range of budgets.

You can sail from Luxor or Aswan, ensuring you take in the Aswan High Dam. You could head to Giza in Cairo and take in the Pyramids and the Sphinx. There is a culture of over 5,000 years to explore and if you do suffer in the heat, you might like to enjoy that from an air conditioned cruise ship.

The waiters aboard the ship are looking for couples who are enjoying themselves but who aren’t drinking too much to join the Captain every night. These waiters will then give their suggestions to the maitre d’ who decides. So have a bit of fun and make sure you express your wishes to your waiter on the first night.
