| Dealing with airport delays |
As more and more people head overseas for Christmas, airport delays are a reality. However, few of us relish the thought of having to be there any longer than necessary. However there are a few steps that you could take to minimise the pain...
- Make sure you have a good travel insurance policy.
- Taking an earlier flight in the day can often minimise the chances of a delay, particularly with low cost airlines.
- Pack light and try to take carry on luggage only. It could save queues at the carousel at your destination or worse still, lost luggage!
- Reconfirm your flights before you head to the airport.
- Don’t become angry in the event of a delay – shouting at gate staff will not help you.
