I own a caravan. Will it be covered for a trip I am planning?
The policy covers: Light Vans, Estate Cars, Motorised Caravans, Cars, 4x4 Sports Utility Vehicles plus Towed Caravans or Trailers of proprietary make at no extra charge.
I plan on driving throughout Europe and will be visiting Andorra on my way to Spain. Will my vehicle be covered when I am in Andorra?
Yes. We cover the vehicle for travel in the following countries:
Andorra, Balearics, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canary Islands, Channel Islands (not as a destination for Channel Islands residents), Corsica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Romania, San Marino, Sardinia, Sicily, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey in Europe plus Uskudar. For Channel Islands residents only, the UK area comprising Great Britain, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man is included.
What happens if my car has broken down at my home?
We will arrange and pay for a callout and up to one hour's labour for assistance at your home or at the roadside.
What types of incidents are covered?
Mechanical breakdown, accidental damage, vandalism, fire, theft or attempted theft, flat battery or accidental damage to tyres.
If my car breaks down, how long will I have to wait before I receive assistance?
The average UK response time is 38 minutes. We provide emergency assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year throughout the UK.
What happens if I break down on the continent?
Just phone our vehicle assistance number where we have a team of multi-lingual staff and we will contact the nearest suitable garage to give you assistance in the shortest possible time. Maximum cover is for 31 days per trip abroad.
What happens if I break down on the continent and the replacement part for my car is not available locally?
We will endeavour to provide the replacement parts required and send them to your location. We will bear the cost of location and transport of the replacement parts.
If my car breaks down or is stolen on a trip on the continent, what help do you provide?
We will pay up to £750 to transport you and your luggage to your destination or pay for the cost of a rental vehicle.
My car is now 4 years old, what do I pay for the next three years motoring assistance?
You can pay just £155 despite the car being seven years old at the end of the three year cover period.
Your prices cover the car does that mean that all members of my family are covered for assistance?
Yes provided assistance is needed for the insured car, your policy covers the driver of the vehicle on that particular occasion.
